1. Just Show Up

Let’s get started with daily meditation, the best way to get a daily meditation practice is to just show up and take your seat with me. Each day will include bite-sized meditation sessions because the best way to build a meditation practice is to practice meditating.

2.

Integrate into Daily Life

Because establishing a meditation practice is not as simple as just sitting or taking a pause, I’ll take you through some steps to integrate your practice and help make it stick beyond the retreat.

3. Motivation and

Accountability

1. You don’t have to do it alone, find extra support through showing up to the retreat together and an invitation to reflect and engage more deeply through the retreat journal, homework activities and Facebook group community.

Hi! I’m Zoe.

I was first introduced to meditation as a part of my movement practices, including yoga, tai chi and qi gong when I was 15. Years later, I founded my clinic Seaside Family Acupuncture with the goal of integrating the different branches of oriental medicine: acupuncture, herbs and diet, meditation, bodywork and movement. I used meditation to center myself, especially in my work with patients. I began using guided meditation as a part of my acupuncture treatments with all of my patients and found it key, often where the magic happens.

Over the years I have deepened my meditation practice by doing silent insight or vipassana meditation retreats as well as many yoga and tai chi or qi gong retreats, but felt frustrated at the gap between life in the retreat bubble and integrating meditation into my busy everyday life. It’s so easy to meditate on a retreat but then so tough to keep it going after a couple of weeks. Helping others develop and deepen a meditation practice that works for them has become one of my life’s works.

In this retreat, you will be able to develop a meditation practice that grows with you, whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned meditator. There are a few essential elements of a meditation practice I can break down simply for you. Let’s make it easy and kickstart your practice with a short meditation each day and key tips on how to integrate meditation into your everyday life.

Zoe's mediation sessions are good for a simple reason - she believes what she is teaching. The content is split into easy understandable sections and the flow of content is very smooth. There is a thread of acceptance in her lessons and it deeply moved me.”

-M.B,

“What I really appreciated was Zoe's ability to draw your attention to look inwards and look at how you approach the world. Her techniques were very subtle and masterful. Her guided meditations were really really blissful and helped me to come back to myself. In a very short period of time she delivered lots of useful tools. She created a really safe and sacred circle for us to express what we were experiencing throughout the course. Zoe is extremely knowledgeable and has a wealth of resources she draws upon and makes available to her students.”
